Usually heavy eye makeup is paired with neutral lips, or a bold mouth means minimal eye makeup. But Leighton piled it all on, and wound up looking like a little girl who got into her mom's makeup bag. Not to mention the 30 pounds of extensions and the weird biker-inspired hooker wear. What's up, Leighton? Does this new look have something to do with her trying to make it as a musician?

07.26.09Braids on The BrainNo matter what, Leighton Meester epitomizes cute. Sporting summery braids, she worked the set of Gossip Girl on Friday in some high-waisted shorts and a silk top. I love braids, but I think this hairstyle is a little too severe. If it was just the two braids with the rest of Leighton's hair down, that would have been cute. But with all her hair pulled back, it looks too flat, like she has a swim cap on or something. Weird, because Blair is usually spot on on Gossip Girl, right?
