Perfect Formula Perfect Color Polish

Perfect-Formula-Perfect-Color-Spring-summer-2010

I’ve been eyeing the Perfect Formula line by nail polish queen Shari Gottesman for a while now. After 15+ year working at her family’s company Cosmetic Coatings Corporation, which develops nail color for major brands, like Essie, Shari was ready to take everything she’d learned and develop her own line. “I wanted to do something special,” says Shari. “Perfect Formula is not just about beautiful looking nails but also strong, healthy nails, so I really wanted to create the best formula available for the polish and then pump it up a bit to create a thicker, stronger coating that would shield the nails with lots of extra strength.”

The initial Classic Collection includes eight classic shades and then introduced two seasonal, a sweet Spring/Summer Collection of bright, pretty pastels (above) and a moody Fall/ Winter collection of deep grays, plums and berries. And with fall sneaking up on us, it’s time to talk fall colors! Perfect Color Fall Collection includes grays, plums, deep pinks, and berries that are fashion focused and bold, yet not… How do I put this delicately? Not so fashiony that they’re ugly. All the colors are still totally beautiful. The line comes in Deco, Cubist, Pop Art, Futurist, Avant Gray, and Post Modern:

Perfect-Formula-Deco

Deco: I got the opportunity to test out this shade; it’s a great mix of pink and plum that ends up a nice berry hue. In fact, I have it on my fingers and toes right now and it’s gorg! Super cute and cool. It’s a little darker in real life than it appears here. I love, love, love it!

Perfect-Formula-Perfect-Color-cubist

Cubist: A deep gray-brown, which reveals a surprise purple-ish tint when it’s hit by natural sunlight. I am a fan of neutral-ish brown nails. This looks like winner and I particularly love the purple tint. WANT.

Perfect-Formula-Perfect-Color-Pop-Art

Pop Art: I love a good emerald-green! This color looks phenominal and it gets 5,000 extra points for no glitter. I am so over glitter for fall and love that this is a creamy emerald. W-A-N-T.

Perfect-Formula-Perfect-Color-Futurist

Futurist: Did they design this line just for me? Insane. I am into very light nail polish colors for the first time in my life right now, but have been looking for a light gray, slightly lavender lacquer. I think I found it. Again, want you!

Perfect-Formula-Perfect-Color-Avant-Gray

Avant Gray: This is a true gray. I die. Or sorry. So major.

Perfect-Formula-Perfect-Color-Post-Moderne

Post Modern: A very pretty deep plum. Curious how this one compares to Deco. Ugh, now that I’ve tried Deco, I’m hooked and I want them all! I am so obsessed with nail polish. It’s a sickness. Well, there could be worse things, right?

The Perfect Formula Nail Color Collection is available at QVC.com and PerfectFormulas.com for a suggested retail price of $15.00 each.
