I don't think it looks bad with bangs. And you can grow them out and blend them into the cut. We've been seeing lots of bobs with side bangs (remember Nicole Richie?). My only (and big) issue with the bob is the maintenance... if I don't blow dry it my hair looks like 2 commas around my face pointing in the same direction... too much work for this lazy girl here :-).
