I can barely keep up with Hayden Panettiere’s hair changes lately! At the 2010 CMT Music Awards, she showed off her new short blonde locks. (By the way, I totally called her going back to blonde!) But not that long ago, Hayden dyed her signature long blonde hair auburn and then she chopped it off into a short cut. And now in her latest hair-move, she’s cut it even shorter and dyed it back to blonde.
She told People magazine of the cut: “It wasn’t scary. I’m pretty spontaneous. I like abrupt changes–it excites me.” Hayden wore an asymmetrical turquoise-and-black lace Pucci dress to go with her new cut, saying, “I love it–it’s daring and it’s easier for me. You always try to find your own sense of style, so when I chopped my hair off I felt like I was my own self in my own way. I didn’t feel like I was trying to emulate anyone. I felt very me.”
What do you think of Hayden’s newest hairstyle?
Love it! Big surprise, I know, I am so predictable. I just love short hairstyles. I like her blonde, and it might just be the lighting here, but I think it should be a little less yellow.
It’s always nice to see fun, short, haircuts and this one has potential – but it’s a bit helmet-like the way it’s styled here. I wonder if it’s the lighting, but the blonde looks a bit too brassy.
I like short hair. I don’t like it on her…very ‘sandy duncan’ anyone remember her?

She’s young and cute, if she doesn’t experiment these things now, when will she? I think she looks good, and if some experiment goes wrong, she has the necessary $$$$ to fix it, so way to go!
I agree though the blond is a tad brassy and it looks uneven, some strands a warmer blonde, some strands a cooler blond, it clashes slightly.
Love the idea of the short hair, but not this cut. Looks like she lost the bottom half of her hair. Maybe something more edgy and youthful such as an all out pixie.
I agree, my first thought when looking at this cut was “helmet hair”. I think it could be cute if she boosts up the volume and styles it differently? And after she throws some violet toner on it?
