Kayla Gets Eyelash Extensions

Kayla-Ewell-Vampire-Diaries-eyelash-extensions

I have tried false eyelashes like two times in my life. Both times they drove me CRAZY. They felt so uncomfortable and heavy. Just weird. But I love the look of long, full lashes like Kayla Ewell from The Vampire Diaries is rocking here. But Kayla didn’t have to glue on falsies to get her lush look. Before hitting the red carpet she visited makeup artist and lash expert Juliana Landis at Beverly Hills Salon Umberto and received eyelash extensions. Wow, yet another thing to obsess over.  ;)

Eyelash extensions are becoming increasingly popular. Celebs like Nicole Kidman, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Gwen Stefani, just to name a few, are picking up on the trend. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to have natural looking, long, full lashes, but doesn’t want to have to worry about lashes falling off. With eyelash extensions, you can shower like normal, swim, workout, and your lashes will stay intact. And lash extensions can be customized to suit the specific look you are going for–from more natural to super dramatic. Many people opt to apply just one single layer of lashes, but you can also go more intense and layer strips lash of extensions.

Best of all, the lash extensions stay put without feeling heavy, like temporary false eyelashes. Once applied, eyelash extensions need minimal care, however, to keep them in top condition and to extend their life, don’t use oil based products near your eyes or waterproof mascara as these products will loosen the adhesive bond. Remove makeup with an oil-free makeup remover and use lint free cotton pads. To maintain the look of your lash extensions, you need to receive touch-ups every two to three weeks to replace natural shedding. With maintenance, your lash extensions can last indefinitely.
