Pretty much nothing can get me interested in the Olympics. However, Shaun White, the two-time Olympic gold medal winning snowboarder, recently talked about his famous red locks in an interview with People magazine, so that kinda got my attention. The “Flying Tomato” says, “My secret is an awesome new product – called water. It’s pretty curly on its own. I just use the hotel shampoo and conditioner and wash it every other day, because otherwise it gets huge. Two days of snowboarding in a helmet helps — it looks better dirtier.”
Shaun says that a friend trims his hair for free every two months, but does more thinning than cutting the length. “I feel I’ve lost something if I cut it short; but I need to take the weight off.” Though he has tried to brush off the “Flying Tomato” nickname, Shaun has no plans to change his red color. “If I did, I’d go black to make it Danzig-looking,” he says with a laugh. “Black hair looks OK with freckles.”
[Please god no.]

I loves me some Shaun White. I am a Florida girl who hates the cold, but he makes me want to buy a snowboard and fall down a mountain. Boy’s got some persuasive skills. Looks good in those jean up there, too.
i was just thinking he looked kinda creepy in those white jeans
probably an inappropriate comment – but I just get the overwhelming impression that the tomato is tons of fun in the sack! Love him and his lions mane o’ tomato!
BHB: hee! not inappropriate for this blog!
gidget: I like the white jeans! it’s very young robert plant.
Chris: fall down a mountain! haha. that is totally what I would do on a snowboard too. a friend & I were just discussing how skiing/snowboarding = broken leg to us. And I also hate the cold. He does seem like kind of a cool dude though. that’s about as far as the Olympics goes for me. Also, I saw two seconds of some kind of group speed skating event at a bar last night.
