My hair is finally getting kinda long; it’s past my shoulders, but I have a fixation with growing it even longer. (Who knows where these hair goals come from.) I have a haircut scheduled for tomorrow at The Hive, but I’m going to just get more layers in the front, and maybe (?) some long bangs.
How gorgeous is the woman’s hair above? The casual curls and the front braid? LOVE.
Lately I’ve been skipping the blow dryer and wearing my hair wavy. It’s made me wish I had truly wavy/curly hair. My eldest niece has naturally highlighted, thick, curly hair. It’s gorgeous. Of course, she wishes it was straight. Le sigh. We always want what we don’t have, right?
P.S. The Hive is running a special promotion: If you refer five people, you get a free haircut! Pretty cool, right? Also, if you want to see the salon before you book an appointment, check out this video.

Do you know how much they charge for a trim?
Hey Jessica: I get my hair cut by Lissa who is the owner and for a long haircut with styling my cut was around $60. But it is less for shorter hair and less for other stylists at The Hive. For example, my boyfriend gets his haircut there and it’s only $38! Let me know if you go!!
Have you thought about trying a digital perm? If you’re looking for more wave in your hair then it may be something you should look into. Check it out: Digital Perm Blog
I have very long hair and I also want it even longer. I have followed many of the tips given by the users of ‘The Long Hair Community’ website to get it this long (and healthy). I just started taking 5mg of Biotin every day. Have you tried that?
Suzanne: I use to be very dedicated to taking biotin, then a very weird thing… I was breaking out A LOT and read that biotin supplements can be the culprit. I cut them out and my skin totally cleared up! Maybe I was overloading my skin? Because I was taking kind of a lot… I’m not sure if I eased back into it with a smaller amount, if I would still break out. Kinda scared to test it.
