In the interview, Miley says she knows her young fans look up to her, but that doesn’t make her responsible for how they act. “My job is to be a role model, and that’s what I want to do, but my job isn’t to be a parent,” she says. “My job isn’t to tell your kids how to act or how not to act, because I’m still figuring that out for myself.”
Valid point, Miley. But since she’s just figuring out for herself how to act, maybe someone should have told her it was in poor taste to, for example, grind around on a stripper pole in booty shorts at the Teen Choice Awards?
Just a thought.
Miley also tells Harper’s Bazaar that she’s just like every other teenager, especially when it comes to her body image. “I used to ask everyone all day, ‘Do I look pretty?’ ” says Cyrus. “I probably asked that question about as many times as I blink.”
