Ashley Tisdale was pretty open about her nose job, although she claimed it was for a deviated septum. She told People: “I didn’t do this because I believe in plastic surgery. I did this to help my health. I literally almost could not breathe out of the right side of my nose,” said Ashley, who openly discussed the procedure because “I want my fans to know the truth. I’m not someone who is going to act like I had nothing done. I just want to be honest because my fans are everything to me.”
Well, props for talking about, but how can Ashley says she doesn’t “believe in plastic surgery”? Like, as a concept? Betch, you had it done to your face! I’m pretty sure it exists. Also, shut up about “literally almost could not breathe”. You just wanted a better nose. The end.
But at least Ashley Tisdale commented on the whole thing, unlike some people (ahem, Ashlee Simpson, Blake Lively). And I assume she wouldn’t shy away from talking about the fact that she has extensions too. Or would she say she “doesn’t believe in extensions” and she only has them because she “literally almost had no hair”. Hee.
Just because it’s Friday, let’s check out some nose job before and afters! ;)
On the left, Blake’s nose at the 2005 Teen Choice Awards and on the right, Blake’s nose at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards. You be the judge.
I think it’s safe to say a nose job is not all Ashlee Simpson had done; she definitely did something to her chin too. She looks like a totally different person! it’s crazy. And after that major tranformation, Ashlee tried to dodge questions about it in the press. Gurl, plz.

And finally, Ashley Tisdale: before and after. She does not believe in plastic surgery, you guys!

seeing this makes me sick. they are already pretty!
i dont really like surgery, i feel like if you were born one way or the other, you have to deal with it.. but i guess that’s just me..
Vir, I think a lot of people feel that way. You’re not alone. Just don’t move to L.A. :/
whoa, i didn’t even notice that blake lively’s nose was different until now! they can do whatever they want to their faces. they don’t even have to be upfront about it because that kind of thing is actually not anyone else’s business, but don’t deny it! that just makes them look bad.
Jamie, I agree with you. I am not against plastic surgery at all. I mean, it’s their face. Who cares? But lying about it is weird, in my opinion. Just be like: Yeah, I did it. So what? It really only becomes a story when the celebs respond weirdly about it after the fact…
maybe that’s what they want, become a story. more publicity = more money, more money= more surgery, more surgery= more publicity (?) LOL
Vir, hmm. good point. gah!!
when you sign up for fame and fortune, limited privacy and a nosy (ha) public and relentless reporters are a package deal. those are drawbacks i could personally never weather, but some people are driven/emotionally stunted enough to risk it. there are extraordinary, daily lifestyle perks to celebrity, and it’s really hard for me to feel sorry for people who “make it.” everyone knows what you’re signing up for.
plastic surgery before and after pics = guilty pleasure! so fun. that last pic of ashley’s nose showcases the trait i hate about bad nosejobs.. that weirdly sculpted, unorganic dimple. i don’t know what that’s all about, but it’s such a telltale sign.
the blonde from lost has an unfortunate one too:

apparently, literally everyone in hollywood gets a little “refining” done to their noses. just the tiniest shave off a hump or bulge adds a lot of streamlining and refining to one’s face. and noses that look fine in the real world can have weird angles on film. personally i’m bored stiff of all the homogeny. go ahead and have a weird f’ing nose! and lips that don’t look like you’ve been punched in the mouth. noses have withstood enough abuse already.
crap you got me stuck on bad plastic surgery. check out what nicole kidman was compelled to do to her naturally thin lips:

it’s not right.
WHOA Blake Lively’s nose! I never noticed that before… sad. I definitely do not think Ashley Tisdale had a deviated septum.. or if she did she definitely got some tweaks done during the surgery. I know a girl who had a huge nose and got the septum surgery, and she still had a huge nose after, although it did look different. So there.
Also I think Ashlee Simpson looked better before! Sad. Now she looks like a hot-bot.
Alyssa: hahahaha. “hot-bot” she totally DOES look like a hot-bot. like, there are so many of those Hollywood blonde clones. hot-bots!
Kat: omg. that site is such a timesucker for me! it’s tragic and … totally fascinating.
Kat: Juliet from Lost has one of the most obvious Hollywood nose jobs ever, in my opinion. Plus. I cannot STAND her on Lost. But her nose job is really bad–that side dent thing just does not happen in real life. And I have heard too that pretty much everyone gets boobs and noses done in Hollywood. I mean, it’s their job to look like the physical ideal, so… I guess it comes with the territory. And I agree, celebs give away some amount of privacy when they “sigh up” for fame. As far as the current beauty standard, that’s a whole other topic. I would love it if the standard was more flexible and allowed for a wider range for beauty? I look back at movie stars from even the ’80s and I feel like things weren’t so cookie cutter.
Maybe I shouldn’t complain about Ashlee and her black hair. ?
What about Scarlett Johansson? That bitch totally had a nose job!
Martha, your comment made me lol. But be careful about saying that about Scarlett! She threatened to sue Us Weekly for saying she’d gotten plastic surgery!!
What’s up with Ellen Pompeo’s face in Grey’s Anatomy’s last season?? It looks weird to me.
It’s sad, because she used to have a lovely face.
Leila, I don’t watch Grey’s Anatomy so I don’t know the timeframe, but Ellen just had a baby, so maybe her face looked different because it was filmed during her pregnancy?
Blake totally needed the nose job…the others, not so much…
Califemsgirl, Blake denies hers, but it’s pretty obvious. I guess when you get it done before you’re a big celeb it’s less of a big deal though. A tip for wanna be starlets. :/
