Is it over between Rachel Zoe and her ever-disgruntled assistant Taylor Jacobson?
According to Fashionista.com, Taylor sent out an email saying, “After four amazing years at Rachel Zoe Corporation, I’m saddened and exhilarated at the same time to announce my departure. After much thought and consideration, I have decided to take the challenging leap to go off and style on my own.”
Taylor then posted on her Twitter account, “Today is an end of an era and a beginning of a new professional chapter. Looking forward to what the future brings…!!!”
People.com sources are telling a different story, however, saying Rachel Zoe fired Taylor, handing her the pink slip, effective immediately, on Friday morning.
No word from Rachel Zoe so far, but her rep confirmed the split saying, “Taylor Jacobson is no longer with Rachel Zoe, Inc.”
I will miss Taylor on The Rachel Zoe Project, but after this season, it was clear that it was time for Taylor to move on.

Bren, I know!! That was straight up crazy of RZ to do to Taylor. Not fair at all and showed what kind of boss she truly is. Lame-o. While I really enjoy watching The Rachel Zoe Project and feel like RZ is a sweet person a lot of the time and so passionate about fashion, I would haaaaaate to work for her. I hope Taylor goes on to do great things in the future. She’s a dedicated, hard worker and seems like she’d be happier working for someone with a personality more like her.
