Katharine McPhee still hasn’t gotten her hair cut. I can tell because she opted to slick it back at the 37th International Emmy Awards gala in NYC yesterday (Nov. 23). She wore a one shoulder Marchesa dress that I’m not crazy about, but it could be worse. And she’s still doing the pale lipstick thing, which makes her look so washed out. As long as I’m being picky: hate those shoes. I do like her winged eyeliner and overall she’s so pretty that I really shouldn’t complain about anything that’s going on here, but I have a blog and that’s what I do.
What do you guys think?
I don’t like blond on her, and the combo of neutral lipstick and blond hair do wash her out. If it were one or the other it probably wouldn’t be so bad.
However, she’s so naturally pretty, she doesn’t look bad, she just doesn’t look as good as she could.

Not a huge fan of the look. I also liked her better with dark hair. At least her blonde hair doesn’t look as fried as it has been looking.

I’m not a fan of the lipcolor either. Just not working for her as it does for some people.
The shoulder of that dress bothers me too. It’s so wide. It’s matronly to me. Like she has a big bra strap she needs to cover up (obviously she doesn’t).
Jumbly, the lip color would work if she had darker hair, I think? But it’s sooo pale. And I am actually ok with the top of the dress; it’s the bottom that bugs me.

none of the parts of this whole are super, and she’s still having an accessory issue, but over all, she looks kind of sharp. she can just go ahead and keep letting that gorg face carry her through all her sartorial experimentation and stylistic missteps.
