Andrea Pippins (graphic designer and blogger) recently launched I Love My Hair, an online boutique where you can purchase her curl-centric prints. Andrea began designing the prints in 2008 as part of a grad school thesis project. I Love My Hair was a campaign to encourage African-American women to love and embrace their naturally coily hair. Now, the prints have evolved into a brand that celebrates those special coils through art and design.
I love Andre’s prints, and I think they would make such awesome gifts. Plus, they’re super reasonably priced, between $25-$30.
This image was Inspired by West African barber shop signs, and the elaborate hairstyles worn by African and African-American women.
