I was going to mention how I was sick of Ashlee Simpson’s fire engine red hair, when I posted about her on Monday, and now she’s dyed her hair black!
It’s… hideous. I’m sorry but bottle black flatters no one. Remember that.
And isn’t Ashlee old enough to be past the stage of dyeing her hair all sorts of unnatural colors? (I just looked it up. She’s 25, so YES.)
Now that Ashlee has time on her hands–thanks to being booted from Melrose Place–she’s planning her own clothing line, which will supposedly be called the Ashlee Simpson Collection. (Inventive.)
A source tells Star magazine, “She wants [the line] to be both preppy and punk rock. She thinks she can really succeed in fashion.”
Right, because no other young starlets have tried their hand at a fashion line. Totally uncharted territory.

Kellie, I am not sure if I like this better or worse… I am kinda neutral on it. I would love to see her with a more natural hair color, but that’s just me. Maybe it’s just this photo (hopes!) but it looks seriously black-black here…
I liked her interesting red hair, but it was starting to get old. I wish she’d go for a chocolate brown. It’s boring, but we’ve seen her with the dramatic blonde, dramatic red, and the dramatic black.
Audrey, I agree that it’s time for Ashlee to change it up by doing a believable color! A pretty chocolate brown with well-placed highlights would be nice. She actually looks pretty with the right shade of blonde, but I feel like she cannot be blonde anymore because she has to separate herself so far from her sister in the public mind.
I think she looks great! Bottle black looks amazing on lots of people and 25 is NOT old, are you crazy?
Oh, I disagree. I think she looks way better with black hair. Anyway, I liked her with red hair, but I think she should have tried a more natural-looking shade of red.
The only hair color I don’t like on her is blonde… It makes her look so not special.
However, I agree that she is a bit too old to be changing dramatically her hair color like, every month or so. And I also think that a clothing like that is “both preppy and punk rock” sounds so “teenage rebellion”, and she’s not a teen anymore.
Leila, yes the new line sounds like it will be “sold exclusively at Hot Topic”. ugh. I guess her bottle black/bottle red thing makes sense with her overall look. I mean, check out her husband. It’s weird to look back at her “hot-bot” period. (see Alyssa’s comment about Blake’s nose) I mean, when she was blonde and perfect looking… Anyway. I think you’re right the darker hair looks better than the super fake red, but I am not loving the black either.

How lame can you get? I’m not a fan of Ashlee, but this is completely immature. What is the point of insulting every little thing about this woman? Don’t rate yourself as so high and mighty.
I will also add, “bottle black” is very flattering on MANY people.
Quit brooding. Worry about your own life rather than criticizing other peoples.
