Anja Rubik lashes out in the November issue of Vogue Paris, photographed by Tyen.
Anja manages to look gorgeous and provocative in the shoot’s daring makeup. The minimal styling was done by Emmanuelle Alt. I love the single cross earing. So quintessentially ’80s.

very interesting, but the oilspill forhead looks like it’s going to brutalize her complexion. and the eyelash overgrowth is kinda whimsical, but also squicky and somehow SOMEHOW made me think of something gross gross ga-ross that i leared about a few years ago.. called a teratoma. the idea has HAUNTED. me. ever. since. (must be the hair sprouting in weird places) don’t wiki it unless you have a high tolerance for highly creepy biological anomalies. i know, very random– i must be permanently scarred.
probably most definitely shouldn’t even have (over)shared, but it’s part of the healing process!!
Oh my God that top picture looks like there’s a frickin’ insect crawling on her face. *shiver* I hate bugs.
Chris, that pic is kinda creepy! But I still love the shoot…
GAH! KAT! Why did you tell me that!!!!!! I’m going to try HARD to not retain that information and to not google it. That’s totally the kinda stuff that sticks with me too…
haha yeah don’t! it’s far creepier than you could imagine, and the hair part is the LEEEAST of it.
Valerie, the shoot is very cool and original. I’m just not in love with the eyelashes run amok. The middle photo is awesome, though.
Chris, I feel ya. The eyelashes are kinda gross… Sorry guys!!
Chris, you’re not alone. The eyelashes are kinda gross. Good for Halloween though, maybe??
