Lauren Conrad and Kohl’s department stores are launching a new contemporary lifestyle brand for women — LC Lauren Conrad. Debuting exclusively this October in 300 Kohl’s stores and online at Kohls.com. The brand consists of apparel and may expand into additional categories such as footwear, jewelry, handbags, intimates and sleepwear. Retail prices will range from $20 to $60.
“Partnering with a successful national retailer like Kohl’s supports my mission to make great clothing accessible to young women everywhere,” said Lauren Conrad. “The collection is a reflection of my personal style and will offer fresh, California Casual designs at an affordable price.”
What do you guys think? Will you shop Lauren’s new affordable line?
Also, at the launch of her new line this past Thursday night, Lauren told ET that she hasn’t been watching the new season of The Hills. “I didn’t watch, I’m sorry,” she said. “I miss the crew, but I still get to see them and I’m still in touch with a lot of them.”
Wait. Does that mean she misses the film crew? Hee. Also, she totally watched.

haaaate that lipstick on her.
on a bitch scale of 1-10, where would i rank if i said that when i saw that pic, i thought of smurfette?
omg, kat. I totally laughed when I saw your comment. the lipstick is AWFUL, even my bf was like, what the hell?
I assume LC had some creative control over this shoot, so I am confused as to why frosty pink lip gloss was given the ok.
haha, i’ve never understood how strikingly bad pics get released when surely the subject had the final yea or nay. this isn’t the worst ever celeb pic, but i think the combination of her being an all-over unnatural color, the coquettish grin, and the fact that that’s a really bad angle for her nose made me picture her with a floppy white hat. what the smurf was she thinking?
As a suburban mom I do my share of shopping at Kohl’s, since they have great deals on clothes for my quickly-growing 3-year-old. I have seen some of the LC stuff in person and it is FUG. Unlike the Vera Wang line for Kohl’s, which is mostly kind of elegant and understated, the LC stuff really leaves me scratching my head. What I heard about LC’s line when it was in a more upscale venue was that it seemed too cheap (cheaply made, skimpy, and uninspiring). Moving it to a solidly middle-class venue like Kohl’s has not suddenly made it seem any less cheap, I’m sorry to say.
I am curious to check it out… I have not been to a Kohl’s in so long! I actually don’t even know where there is one in L.A. I have to look it up. Anyway. I am looking forward to seeing Lauren’s line in person.
And that’s right about Vera Wang having a line there too–I totally forgot about that. I do like higher end labels doing less expensive lines. I appreciate it since I am always looking to save money, but I want them to be nice quality to cute too, of course!
Yes the Vera Wang stuff is hit or miss. The purses are all gross PVC monstrosities, but the tops and dresses are kind of cute. The “designer” line at Kohl’s I’ve been most impressed with is Dana Buchman. All the clothes feel very well-made and substantial, not like they’d fall apart after a few washes. Some very cute tops and really nice jeans.
Hmm. Interesting, GM. I need to check it out.
