Today, in the fifth-season opener of The Tyra Show, Tyra revealed her natural hair, saying, “I felt like I needed to solve this mystery.”

ok, somehow i feel a little.. cheated?? i don’t know, i was expecting to see tyra with real-looking hair with texture & color. instead, she’s slicked back and dripping wet and neutral, and from the front, you really can’t see her hair at all.
ok, so originally i wasn’t gonna watch, i didn’t really care, then i didn’t want to care, but the hype got to me, and i was curious. it wasn’t “Great Unsolved Mystery” status in MY mind, but i was expecting to see real-girl hair. and no, ty, you did not just “step out of the shower” with dripping wet hair.. by the time the make-up alone was finished, her hair would have been half-dry already.
why do you think she slicked back her hair? it’s not as if her hair is sooo unruly that all of the talented stylists she’s surrounded by couldn’t wrangle her coif into something presentable.
